<br /> NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
<br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the City Clerk at the City Clerk's
<br /> Office, 1St Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m., on
<br /> Tuesday, August 8, 2006, for the construction of approximately 1,300 linear feet street improvement,
<br /> including removal of existing street improvement, excavation, regarding and construction of new
<br /> curbs, gutters, sidewalks, curb ramps, catch basins, inlets, storm drainage, landscaping, modular block
<br /> retaining wall, structural earth wall and reconstruction of traffic signal, described more completely in
<br /> the specifications and contract documents, entitled "City of Everett, Washington, Specifications for
<br /> "7th Avenue SE Sidewalk / Bicycle Improvements, W.O. #3194," and will then and there be opened
<br /> and publicly read aloud. The engineer's estimate for this project is $381,929.00.

<br /> Plan sets may also be purchased for reproduction costs at Bill's Blueprints (425.259.0859) at 2920

<br /> All proposals must be made upon the regular forms provided in the Proposal Section of the contract
<br /> documents and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than 5% of
<br /> the successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract.
<br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities. No
<br /> bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof The City further reserves the
<br /> right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
<br /> The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid
<br /> opening.
<br /> The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations
<br /> pertaining to equal employment opportunities.
