In no case it the patient
ever administered a generl anesthesia for procedures don In these rooma. An example is
needle aspiration of a cyst, a procedure not much difterent than glving a patient a shot or slarting
an IV. The patient fs not sedated and not in any danger. More compleu procedures are always
done in our certified ambul2tory surgery centers or a licensed hospital operating room.
The City of Everett has neverequired emegency lighting In any minor procedure room of The
Everett Clinic, and I do not belleve there is a reason to requlre that in the fulure.
For general safety, as part of our disaster preparedness, we have inslalled rechargeable
flashlights in larger Interior rooms. I would expect that these room5 would have rechargaable
flashlights In them.
If I can answer any fufther questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 425 339-5460.
Sincerely,
 ,
Mark E.
