He had numerous copies of Permits and Inspection Reports. He confirmed he built the <br /> structure himself over a period of years.A Rec-room in the upper level and garage in lower level in 1977, a living unit in <br /> the upper level in 1979/1980-beginning rental of the upper level sometime around 1984, then had plumbing and other <br /> elements added to the basement and began renting that as a dwelling unit in 1985 or so. He thought all of the work was <br /> permitted and has used the structure as a duplex(with no internal stairway)since then. He will permit inspection by City- <br /> we plan for week after next- due to Thanks Giving. <br /> (11/19/2015 11:14 AM DSC) <br /> Review of Old Assessor Records indicates Snohomish County first observed signs of a Duplex Use in 1994. <br /> From: Ted Budden <br /> Sent: Friday, November 13, 2015 12:41 PM <br /> To: Donald Cunningham <br /> Subject: RE: 1422 E Casino <br /> Don, <br /> I checked microfiche records for this property for the information you requested here is what I found. <br /> A permit to construct a Garage and recreation room was issued May 1977. <br /> A permit to convert the upper floor of this building to single family use was issued November 1979.This permit was <br /> given final inspection approval July 1980. <br /> I cannot locate any records that indicate that this building is approved for use as a duplex or approvals for two separate <br /> dwellings. <br /> The Snohomish County Assessors website information shows this building as a single family dwelling. <br /> Regards <br /> 1 <br />
