Ted Budden
From: Ted Budden
Sent: Friday, December 04, 2015 4:23 PM
To: Donald Cunningham
Subject: 1422 East Casino Road
Don,
I have prepared a brief summary and report relating to the structure located at 1422 East Casino Road. This summary is
based upon a thorough review of file records and observations made during the inspection conducted with you on
12/3/15.
The building was constructed in stages over the course of several years by the current owner Mr. Wayne Hansen.
The permit records indicate that the proposed use of the building is to be "Single Family Use".
The Snohomish County Assessors records indicate that the use of the building is "Single Family Residence"The property
is being taxed as such.
The building has one address. "1422 East Casino Road."
The layout of the building does have characteristics that resemble a two unit building or duplex. This resemblance
however is not complete.
It is the official position of the Everett Building Department that this structure is"approved" for use only as a "Single
Family Residence".
The building if used as two separate dwelling units, especially without owner occupancy of a portion of the building
would not be approved use and therefore use in violation of code.
I would like to add that during the inspection conducted with you it was observed that the property is maintained in very
good order and that no other code violations or discrepancies were noted.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide assistance in this matter.
Ted Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
1
