The water main to be replaced is within the Limited Access boundaries <br /> for State Route 529. The new high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE)water main will provide increased <br /> system reliability, capacity and fire protection. <br /> The Professional Services Agreement for the design of this project was approved in January 2006. The <br /> Mayor was authorized to sign the Washington State Department of Transportation(WSDOT)Utility <br /> Franchise Permit Application for this project in May 2006. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize a Call for Bids for the construction of the Water Main Replacement I Project. <br /> 19 <br />
