Responses were received as shown on the attached bid summary. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Award Bid 2006-873 for an Annual Supply of Water Treatment Chemicals to the lowest responsive bidders at their unit prices bid as follows: • Soda Ash to OCI Chemical Corporation at $240 per ton for an estimated annual total of$396,000. • Aluminum Sulfate to General Chemical Performance Products at $253 per ton for an estimated annual total of$96,165.30 including Washington State Sales Tax. • Liquid Chlorine to JCI Jones Chemicals at $370 per ton for an estimated annual total of$85,100. • Hydrofluosilic Acid (Fluoride) to Cascade Columbia Distribution at $418 per ton for an estimated total of$209,000. • Polyelectrolyte in bulk to Ciba Specialty Chemicals at $1420 per ton for an estimated annual total of$77,106.00 including Washington Sate Sales Tax. 8
