Some of these
complaints regarded tall grass on the property and concern with possible fires in
the building. The City Fire Marshal, who has also received complaints, stated
"Please, look into this property and have the Rockefeller entry door window and all
windoas on the ground floor secured so vandals can't throw combustibles into the
dwelling and ignite the structure."
The City Planning Department is aware of your applicar.ior, before the CHIP Office o
rehabilitate this bui.lding. We are delighted at the nrospect of the building being
rehabilitated, but it continues to pose a hazardous nuisance in its present
condition.
The building will have to be kept secured from vandals until it can be occupied for
living quarters• This will also minimize the vandalism, thereby minimizing the
cost of repairs.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call Marian Payne, City of
Everett Housing Inspector, at 259-6731.
Sincerely,
PAUL A.
