PLANNING AND
MAIM11VIrY DEYELOPMENT
June 24, 1991
Mr. Gary Weikel
Snohomish County Executive Administrator
3rd Floor, Administration Building
Everett, WA 98201
RE: Fifth Floor Courtroom Remodeling Project
(Special Property Use Permit N6-81)
Dear Mr. Weikel:
EC1:;VED
SNOHON'ISH 7OUNTY
ZXFCUT:VE OFFICE
M
Gerry Ervine, of our staff, has completed a review of the
County parking information submitted to the City on June 6,
1991, by Alison Sing. From this review it has been
determined that, if the County complies with the
recommendations ccrained in the May 21, 1991, parking study
prepared by Rich Pert:eet for the courtroom conversion, and
maintains the current leases for off -campus activities, no
additional parking will be necessary.
The parking study states that "...the County will meet the
additional peak demand (24 additional spaces) by assigning
jurors to par).ing spaces usually reserved for County
vehicles and by allowing jurors to park in empty employee
spaces in the garage." This approach seems reasonable since
this increased demand will only occur twice a month.
The City ac-epts the premises set forth in the parking study
and anticipates the County immediately implementing the
procedures, outlined above, including the retention of all
off -site leased parking as long :s the off -campus uses
continue. If it becomes necessary for the County to
discontinue any of the existing parking leases, the County
must immediately locate alternate parking and notify the
City of the new arrangements. We appreciate your
cooperation in this matter and trust that the County will
continue to meet its parking obligations.
sincerely,
m & aL)
Mary Lou Block
Assistant Director
Location: 2731 Wetmore Avenue
CITY OF EVERETT • 3002 Wetmore • Everett, WA 98201 .(206) 259-8731 • Fax (206) 259.8742 • Scan: 723-8731
PCK
HC
LM
