Mcssagc <br />Importance: High <br />Danny, <br />Pagc 3 of 2 <br />An issue was brought up by L& I....per the variance request from the Chief Elevator <br />Inspector, Dotty Stanlaske, she wonts Mortenson to confirm with the fire murshal and <br />building officinl thct there is proper hnllway pass-through nccess at the locntion of the <br />controller closes for the public to pass by the area when the controller closet door and <br />barricude are open. The barricade will extend approximately 42" out from the front of <br />the, controller closet wnll, and will wrap from the controller closet door over to the outer <br />hoistway entrance door jamb. <br />I've looked at the dimensions and it looks fine to me, but she wou!d like an approval, or <br />something in writing from these entities. <br />She also wants additional lighting in the overhead of the hoistw�ny shaft to fur•ther <br />illuminate the machine. The light must come on when the contruller closet light is turned <br />on. <br />I don't believe this is an RFI situation, but let me know if you think so.
