These <br />comments address building issues only, additional revisions or addi6ons may be required by other <br />departments (such as Utilides, Plamm�g or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Umform <br />Buildmg Code, as amended 5y the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code <br />1991, 2nd Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br />1. The plans submitted are incomplete. Please provide plans as outlined on the attached <br />checiclist. The comments that follow are general m nature and may not be complete. <br />An addidonal plan review response may be required after receipt of completed plans. <br />2. All buildings and additions or alteradons to buildings over 4,000 square feet require the <br />plans and specificadons to be prepared be an architect currently licensed to pracdce in the <br />Stace of Wasiungton. RCW 18.08 <br />3. Group B2 occupancies over. 3,000 squaze feet shall be equipped with an automadc fire <br />detecdon system (fire alazm system) per City Ordinance 1759-90. <br />4. Revolving, sliding and overhead doors are not permitted as exit doors when serving <br />hazardous areas or an occupant load of 10 or more. Secdon 3301(h). <br />5. A1l doorways leading to accessible rooms shall have an unobstructed clear width of not <br />less than 32 inches. SecGon 3106(j). <br />6. Accessible doors shall have maneuvering clearances per Sec6on 3106(k)3. <br />7. In multi-story buildings or portions thereof required to be accessible by Section 3103, at <br />least one accessible elevator shall serve each level, including mezzanines. Section <br />3105(c). Platform lifts are allowed in existing buildings only if the installadon of an <br />elevator is technically infeasible. Section 3112(c)5.
