CITY OF EVERETT - BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />Minutes <br />December 3, 1979 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett Board of Adjustment was held <br />at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. <br />Mr. Russell presided; Mr. Zook, Mr. Hoagland, Mr. Black and <br />Mr. Wilson were present. <br />Mr. Russell introduced the Board members to the audience. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Jerry Dykstra, 1701 Colby <br />Avenue, Everett, Washington 98201, for a variance from Section <br />19.16.050 �f the -'verett Municipal Code, Yard Requirements, <br />Paragraph B, for permission to construct a garage to the south <br />side property line rather than the code requirement of five (5) <br />feet from the side property line. <br />This is a rehearing of a variance granted July 11, 1977; due to <br />the lapse of time, another hearing must be held. <br />Legal Description: Lot 1 and N ; Lot 2 Block 347 <br />Plat of Everett Div. L <br />Address: 1701 Colby Avenue <br />Zoning: R-2 Single Family High Density Residence <br />Mr. Dykstra represented himself and made the following statements: <br />1. The existing older garage will be torn down. <br />2. The garage was originally built on the south side <br />property .line. <br />3. He had requested this same variance two years ago <br />and it was granted. <br />There was no opposition from the audience. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and considering all the <br />facts it was moved by Mr. Hoagland, seconded by Mr. Zook and <br />unanimously carried to grant the variance as it meets all the <br />requirements of Section 19.70.060 of the Everett Municipal Code <br />Paragraphs 1, 2, 3, and 4. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Doyeh Vigus, 3501 Rockefeller <br />Avenue, Everett, Washington 98201, for a variance from Section <br />19.18.040 of the Everett Municipal Code, Yard Requirements, <br />
