Construction and demolition of buildings shall be in compliance with the provisions of the 2006 International Fire Code, Chapter 14. 47. Buildings containing high -piled combustible storage shall be in accordance with Chapter 23 of the 2006 International Fire Code and NFPA 13. A Fire Department permit is required for high -piled storage. 48. Permits are required from the Fire Department for removal and installation of underground fuel tanks. 49. Abandoned tanks shall be pumped out and the fuel properly disposed of prior to removal. No product or rinse water may be disposed of in such a way that it could enter the storm drains system. 50. The storage, handling and use of flammable or combustible liquids shall comply with Chapter 34 of the International Fire Code, 2006 Edition. 51. The location of Fire Department connections (FDC) and post indicator valves (PIV) shall be determined by the Fire Code Official. If immediate outside mandoor access is available to the sprinkler valves (risers), a PIV will not be required. 52. Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yards capacity shall be located a minimum of 5 feet from the building [IFC 304.2.3, 2006 Edition]. 53. Spray application of flammable finishes must be in accordance with the 2006 International Fire Code, Chapter 15. 54. Welding/cutting/other hot work must be in accordance with Chapter 26 of the 2006 International Fire Code, including welding booths and other protective systems.
