These vehicles will <br /> replace three 1996 and four 1998 vans currently in service and add an additional van to the Paratransit <br /> fleet. Funding will consist of$594,912.00 from an FTA grant and $148,728.00 in local funds. <br /> Bid packages were sent to 22 potential bidders, advertised in the Herald and posted on the City's web <br /> site. Five bids were received as outlined in the attached bid summary. Staff is recommending award to <br /> the lowest bidder, Schetky Northwest Sales, at a total cost of$743, 640.00. Per RCW 82.08.0287, this <br /> purchase is exempt from Washington State Sales Tax. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Award Bid 2006-858 for eight (8) Paratransit Vans to Schetky Northwest sales in the amount of <br /> $743,640. <br />
