8 <br /> AMENDMENT NO.1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> AND <br /> DYKEMAN <br /> The City and Dykeman agree to amend and modify their professional services agreement dated <br /> June 6, 2006 (the"Agreement") as follows: <br /> WHEREAS, ; Dykeman and the City entered into an Agreement dated June 6, 2006 <br /> ("Agreement")to provide design services for the South Branch Library Renovation Project and <br /> WHEREAS, additional work is required for Dykeman to complete construction documents for <br /> the South Branch Library Renovation Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement is likely to expire prior to the completion of the construction <br /> documents; and <br /> WHEREAS, the total amount of compensation stated in the Agreement is likely insufficient for <br /> the remainder of the project and an additional $3,060 of contract value is needed to complete the <br /> project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and Dykeman agree to amend their Agreement to: (a) extend the time for <br /> completion from August 31, 2006 to October 31, 2006 and (b) increase the maximum <br /> compensation by an additional $3,060 from the current contract level of$5,130.00 to $8,0190; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City of Everett and Dykeman agree to amend and modify the <br /> previously amended Agreement as follows: <br /> 1. The following work is added to the Scope of Work described in Exhibit A of the <br /> Agreement: Provide Construction (Bid)Documents to include paint specification and layout, <br /> carpet tile specification and layout, casework revisions— new finishes and details. <br /> 2.
