Sidewalk/Bicycle Improvements. Four bids <br /> were received , as shown on the attached summary, with the lowest bid submitted by Schwetz Construction, <br /> Inc., of Sedro Wooley, WA. The improvements will complete gaps in the existing sidewalk system on the <br /> east side of the street, remove existing obstructions, install drainage improvements, improve an existing <br /> traffic signal, and add a bicycle lane. <br /> The sources of funds for this project are: <br /> TIB Grant (State) $39,669.00 <br /> Fund 154—CIP III 45,000.00 <br /> Fund 157—Traffic Mitigation 162,958.00 <br /> Fund 301 —Arterial Streets 134,302.00 <br /> Fund 119— Street Improvements 77,018.50 <br /> Total $458,947.50 <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize award of the construction contract for the 7th Avenue S.E.
