Acceptance <br /> of the 10%petition by City Council will allow the applicant to proceed with the 75%petition. At the <br /> September 27, 2006 meeting City Council will determine whether the City Council will: (1) approve the <br /> gathering of the necessary petition signature representing 75% of the assessed valuation of properties found <br /> within the annexation boundaries, as depicted upon the attached map, (2) geographically modify the proposed <br /> annexation area, (3) require the adoption of a comprehensive plan for the area proposed for annexation, and <br /> (4) require the assumption of existing city indebtedness by owners of property within the proposed <br /> annexation area. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Approve September 27, 2006 as the date to <br /> consider acceptance of the 10%petition and Notice of Intention submitted by Alan Clark for 21st Street <br /> Annexation. <br />
