Community Transit has hired a contractor,Informa Research Services,to conduct an on-board survey of their fixed route bus service.The survey is scheduled for October 18th through 22nd,2006. Fixed route bus service will be surveyed on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.The contractor will also conduct an on-site survey at Everett Station on each of those days. Everett Transit and Community Transit have agreed that having Everett Transit join the on-board customer survey would allow each system to evaluate ET's recent fare change and its effect on both systems.The survey would also allow ET to update demographic and origin-destination data for current ridership. CT's estimated payment to the contractor is not to exceed$99,999.The amount paid is based on the amount of surveys returned. The City's portion is projected to be approximately$15,000 but not to exceed the amount of$17,999. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Everett and Community Transit for a joint on-board customer survey.
