<br /> Originated, developed, and maintained an eighteen-county adult literacy program in West
<br /> Central Nebraska that serviced 400-500 students annually. Spearheaded numerous corporate
<br /> and community-based partnerships: Union Pacific Railroad, Nebraska Workforce
<br /> Development Center, Nebraska Association of Farmworkers, North Platte, NE; Nebraska
<br /> Public Power District, Sutherland, NE; TRW, Ogallala, NE; public schools, public libraries,
<br /> community colleges, churches, county jails, and private homes.
<br /> Secured funding by writing grants and developing budgets. Allocated funds within budgetary
<br /> guidelines. Reported fiscal results to college board, state department, and federal
<br /> government.
<br /> Promoted the program. Recruited students. Recruited, hired, trained, and supervised a staff
<br /> of 10 Instructors, 5 Volunteer Coordinators, and 100 Volunteers. Evaluated and documented
<br /> each site. Curriculum included: basic reading, writing, math, computer, keyboarding, ESL and
<br /> GED preparation. 1980-2000.
