RESOLUTION No. <br />RESOLUTION for Expenditure of Human Needs Funding <br />WHEREAS, the City allocates funding each year to be used for human needs programs; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, $303,300 is included in the 2007 budget for this purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, there exists in the community a call for monies to supplement human needs <br />programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Human Needs Advisory Committee, formed to make recommendations to the <br />City Council for allocation of these funds annually, has voted to recommend funding as listed <br />below; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL that the <br />Mayor or his designee be authorized to execute a contract with each of the listed agencies in the <br />amount specified for the purpose stated: <br />1. American Red Cross: Project PRIDE $7,000 <br />2. Arc of Snohomish County: Counseling and Guidance, Emergency Assistance and <br />Medical Dental $25,000 <br />3. Catholic Community Services: Family and Children's Services, Volunteer Chore <br />Services and HIVAIDS Care Services $25,000 <br />4. Center for Career Alternatives: Career Readiness $7,500 <br />5. Cocoon House: Transitional Housing for Teens and Emergency Shelter for Teens $21,000 <br />6. Community Health Center of Snohomish County: Health Services for Homeless $6,000 <br />and At -Risk Youth <br />7. Compass Health: Drop -In Center and Youth Counseling at Cocoon House & <br />Complex $30,000 <br />8. Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center: Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center $10,000 <br />Coordination <br />9. Deaconess Children's Services: Teen Parent Advocacy $7,000 <br />10. Elderhealth Northwest: Adult Day Health Care $8,000 <br />11. Housing Hope: Commerce Building Housing and Social Services for Persons with $6,000 <br />Disabilities <br />12.
