Specifically, we designed the wall using 41 inch blocks and at 10-1/2 feet from the top <br /> (the upper 7 blocks of the wall)we converted the wall from an MSE wall to a gravity wall. Our <br /> analyses indicated that the wall is stable except for the top block which was unstable under <br /> seismic loading conditions. We therefore added a single piece of geogrid directly below the <br /> upper most row of blocks which then makes the upper block stable under seismic loading <br /> conditions. We performed the analyses fora 21 foot wall, an 18 foot wall,a 15 foot wall, a 10- <br /> 1/2 foot wall, a 12 foot wall and a 9 foot gravity wall.
