c <br /> Resolution No. 4861 <br /> A RESOLUTION REGARDING PLANNING <br /> FOR THE EVERETT FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> ois"...A <br /> WHEREAS, the City's elected officials recognize the complex nature of delivering the <br /> City's many diverse emergency services provided by the Everett Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Fire Department provides emergency services to a growing <br /> population in an expanding geographical area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's elected officials believe providing high-quality public safety <br /> services is one of the City's highest priorities; and <br /> WHEREAS, strategic planning and budgeting is necessary to assure the City's <br /> emergency service needs are met; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Everett Fire Administration shall <br /> develop a strategic plan which addresses the Fire Department's needs for staffing, training, <br /> facilities, equipment, and other relevant matters; and <br /> FURTHER RESOLVED, that the strategic plan will include the Department's <br /> recommended goals and guidelines drawing upon the best national resources available for fire <br /> services; and <br /> FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Department shall maintain a system of records <br /> concerning response times, station call loads, and other information which will enable evaluation <br /> of the Department's success in meeting its goals and guidelines; and <br /> FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Fire Administration shall complete its strategic plan by <br /> December 31, 2000. <br /> Passed and approved this 12th day of January, 2000 <br /> 5 <br /> J—/: , <br /> 7 <br /> _ _ <br /> ou'cil '`esident 0: 'I : • pbell '• ci V.'% esidt t 0 avid Simpson <br /> 41,i.` , r .,.•! `` , Q <br /> C uncil member Frank Anderson Co ncil member Ron Gipson <br /> 4 • - <br /> �1 \, �f"--/ 'tel! . <br /> Council member Bob Overstreet Council member Dale Pope j <br /> — _1 �// "a4.4,00, l.,�—� <br /> Council member Dan WarnoI <br />
