• <br /> A. . • <br /> t/• <br /> /:/%cM.AM <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4823 .``TT <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Everett, setting a public hearing <br /> before the City Council on the 8th day of December, 1999, at 8:30 a.m., to consider and <br /> adopt the proposed 2000 budget and assessment for the downtown Everett Business <br /> Improvement Area No. 1. <br /> WHEREAS, the City is in receipt of the proposed 2000 budget for the downtown Everett <br /> Business Improvement Area No. 1; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to set a time for public hearing thereon, at which hearing <br /> the Council will consider adoption of the proposed 2000 budget and assessment. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT <br /> Section 1: That the City Council shall hold a hearing on the 8th day of December, 1999, at <br /> 8:30 a.m., in the Everett City Council Chambers,to consider and adopt the proposed 2000 budget <br /> and assessment as set forth herein and as attached and made a part of this resolution as <br /> Attachment A. <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall provide for publishing this resolution as may be provided by <br /> law, and further, that a notice of the hearing and a copy of this resolution shall be mailed to the <br /> owners or reputed owners of real property and buildings located within the proposed BIA area <br /> whose names appear as the owners of such property on the tax rolls of the Snohomish County <br /> Assessor, and at the addresses for such owners as shown on such tax rolls, such mailing to be <br /> made prior to the hearing as may be required by law. <br /> Section 3: The City Council may, after conclusion of the December 8, 1999 hearing, levy a <br /> special annual assessment for the purpose of operating a security and pedestrian environment <br /> maintenance program and other activities as set forth in the proposed budget in 2000, at the <br /> following rates: <br /> For all lineal footage, on main access ways running North/South, there shall be an <br /> assessment at the rate of one dollar($1.00) per lineal foot per month. <br /> All ownerships with primary frontage along main access ways running east/west <br /> shall be assessed on the basis of a weighted lineal front-foot calculation, as follows: (Length of <br />
