RESOLUTION # 4798 Iiiiiiiwid A RESOLUTION in memory of Retired Police Chief Frank Albert Patterson, who died Sunday, August 15, 1999 at the age of 83. WHEREAS, the Everett City Council wishes to recognize the strength, leadership and compassion of this long time resident of the City of Everett; and WHEREAS, Everett City Council wishes to recognize the dedication to the youth of Everett shown by Frank Patterson for his contribution of Camp Patterson designed for children with special needs; and WHEREAS, it should be known to all that Frank Patterson was a member of the Everett Police Department from 1964 until 1973, after previously serving with the Navy during World War II, and continued serving the citizens of the City of Everett after his retirement always placing them first and foremost; and WHEREAS, Frank Patterson was known as a strong leader commanding the respect of all who worked for him as well as knew him, who never once asked anyone to do anything that he himself would not do; and WHEREAS, the passing of Chief Frank A. Patterson has deeply saddened his friends, family and co-workers and shall never be forgotten; NOW THEREFORE, the Mayor of Everett and the Everett City Council resolve that the commitment, compassion and contribution of Frank A. Patterson, Everett Police Department, Retired shall be recognized and remembered, and join in the family, friends and co-workers of the Everett Police Department, in mourning the loss.
