Subsequent to that Council meeting, three meetings were held to invite
public comment regarding proposed changes to the green fees and annual passes.A total of 65 members of the golfing
public were provided the opportunity to review the proposal and comment on the proposed green fee changes. The
process led to the addition of two components to the proposal: 1)the addition of weekend frequent player cards;and
2)the provision of an exception process to maintain pass purchase eligibility due to illness or injury.
The recommended green fees adjustment is the first step of a multi-faceted approach to help ensure the long-term
financial stability of Golf.
Staff expects that adoption of this resolution will result,on an annual basis, in an additional$100,000 in green fee
revenue, which is approximately 5%higher than current year estimates.
RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Approve the resolution adopting Golf Green Fees for
the City of Everett municipal golf courses,Walter E. Hall and Legion Memorial, directing the deposit of Admission
Tax to the revenue account of the Golf Fund, and superseding Resolution No. 5628.
6
