The construction of these new facilities will require the demolition of a maintenance warehouse and a flammable liquids storage facility. The Water Filtration Plant requires architectural and structural design services for the construction replacement facilities. These services will be provided by Carletti Architects. The purpose of the Amendment No. 1 is to extend the contract expiration date through December 31, 2007. This Amendment does not request additional funds. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Carletti Architects to provide design services for the replacement of the maintenance ware house and flammable liquids storage facility at the Water Filtration Plant. 9
