1 <br /> H. Animals that have bitten people will be quarantined for a period of ten (10) days and <br /> then destroyed or returned to their owner at the discretion of Snohomish County. Quarantined <br /> animals shall not be released until all quarantine fees related to the animal are paid. For dogs or <br /> cats held at the county's request beyond the quarantine period the county shall reimburse the city <br /> for the daily boarding costs not paid by the owner for the duration the animal was held at the <br /> shelter at the request of the county. <br /> I. Snohomish County agrees to furnish Everett copies of all provisions of its regulations <br /> affecting Everett's performance under this Agreement and shall notify Everett at least thirty (30) <br /> days prior to the effective date of any amendment or revision. <br /> J. Everett will pay all costs incurred in providing animal shelter services under this <br /> Agreement except as otherwise provided by this Agreement. <br /> K. Everett shall have the authority to sell or dispose of animals after the period provided <br /> in paragraph I (E) if not claimed as provided in paragraph I (F). The proceeds of such sale shall <br /> belong to Everett. Any such sale or disposition by Everett shall be in accordance with all <br /> applicable state statutes and administrative codes. <br /> L. Everett shall not sell or donate any animal delivered by Snohomish County employee <br /> or resident of unincorporated Snohomish County for the purpose of scientific research or testing. <br /> II. TERM <br /> This Agreement shall be deemed effective as of January 1, 2007, and shall continue in full force <br /> and effect through December 31, 2010 unless terminated earlier as provided therein. <br /> III. FINANCIAL <br /> A. Snohomish County agrees to pay Everett the sum Ninety-Seven Dollars ($97) per <br /> animal impounded, within thirty (30) days of receipt of an invoice or statement from Everett, <br /> which includes a capital facility fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15). Said invoices shall indicate the total <br /> number of animals handled during the month, the County's number thereof, and their disposition. <br /> Each invoice shall be accompanied by a list that covers the same period of time as the invoice, <br /> showing the name, address, and zip code of the unincorporated county resident or the name and <br /> title of the County employee that corresponds to each animal attributed to the County in the <br /> invoice. The City shall bill the County for animals delivered by a person who is either an <br /> unincorporated County resident or a person who is performing their official duty as a County <br /> employee. The County shall not be billed for any animal otherwise acquired by the City. <br /> B. Everett may adjust the fee charged per animal on an annual basis to be effective on <br /> January 1 of each calendar year. If Everett intends to adjust said fee, it will give Snohomish <br /> County the cost by July 1 of the preceding year. Adjustments shall be based upon Everett's <br /> reasonable projected budget for the next calendar year for operations, maintenance, and <br /> administration of the Animal Shelter on a per animal basis for all animals sheltered at Everett's <br /> INFER1OCAI.
