3 <br />City of Everett <br />Request for Qualifications <br />Animal Shelter <br />A/E Services <br />Submittal Date: January 23, 2007 <br />The City of Everett is requesting written proposals of interest/qualifications from <br />architectural/engineering firms to design a new 20,000 to $30,000 square foot Animal <br />Shelter within an estimated time frame of April 2007 to October 2007 with construction <br />to follow. The estimated budget for the project is $2,000,000 to $3,000,000. <br />The scope of work for this project involves: <br />A. Project planning, scheduling, and estimating; <br />B. Potential for a phased design and construction; <br />C. Design development; <br />D. Construction/ bid documents; <br />E. Construction administration; <br />Interested parties are asked to provide seven (7) copies of written statements of <br />interest/qualifications to the City Clerk at the City Clerk's Office, 2930 Wetmore, (Wall <br />Street Building) Everett, WA 98201, until 2:00 PM on Tuesday January 23, 2007. <br />Proposals shall be limited to 10 pages (double sided) or less and should demonstrate the <br />consultant's ability to complete this project and include: <br />A. A letter of interest with a statement as to the availability of the firm to complete <br />the work within the stated time period. <br />B. Firm's experience in animal shelter design and related projects; <br />C. Experience level of project manager and key personnel; <br />D. Consideration to utilize local architect and/or engineer on the design team; <br />E. Reference, including names and telephone numbers of previous clients with <br />similar projects <br />A review committee may conduct brief interviews of short listed firms the week of <br />February 5, 2007.
