These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br /> may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references <br /> refer to the 2003 International Residential Code, as amended by the State of Washington <br /> and/or Washington State Energy Code 2003 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. Provide gravity calculations for garage door headers. Double 2 x 6 appears to be <br /> inadequate. <br /> 2. Alternate braced wall panels are required to be minimum 2'-8" wide. 24" lateral <br /> restraint panel is not approved under the International Residential Code without <br /> engineering. <br /> 3. 1/2" x 10" anchor bolts @ 72" o.c., 7" minimum embedment. Minimum 2 each <br /> piece and within 12" of each end of each piece. 3" x 3" x 1/a" plate washer on all <br /> anchor bolts in braced wall lines. Section R602.11.1. <br /> 4. The maximum spacing of braced wall lines is 35', per Section R602.10.1.1. <br /> 5.
