Additional time is needed to complete the contract work as a result of late equipment <br /> and material deliveries. There were also difficulties commissioning the new disinfection system. In addition <br /> to the items above, a pump failure during startup requires additional time to implement corrective measures. <br /> Hoffman has requested a no cost, 90 day extension to the construction contract to complete all work <br /> identified in the contract. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Change Order No. 1 to the Water Pollution Control Facility Expansion Phase A <br /> construction contract with Hoffman Construction Company for a 90 day extension to the contract with no <br /> cost to the city. <br /> 27 <br />
