Pedestrian Improvement <br /> Project is ready to be advertised. This project will complete two gaps between existing sidewalks on 100th <br /> Street S.W., between Holly Drive and 12th Avenue W., and connect to recent pedestrian improvements on <br /> Holly Drive. This project includes construction of roughly 624 linear feet of curb, gutter, and sidewalk <br /> with ADA accessibility, catch basins, inlets, storm drainage, telemetry conduit, and all other <br /> appurtenances necessary to complete the project. <br /> A previous advertisement, in July 2006, resulted in bids that exceeded the engineers estimate by roughly <br /> 48% and did not include the new ADA accessibility requirements. All bids were subsequently rejected. <br /> The funding sources for the contract are as follows: <br /> TIB Grant(State) $ 51,454.00 <br /> Fund 301 —Arterial Streets 76,456.00 <br /> Total $ 127,910.00 <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize a call for bids for the 100th Street S.W.
