Mr.McWherter has owned <br /> and operated the park for approximately 30 years and at the age of 93 has determined that <br /> he can no longer properly run and maintain the park. <br /> After making the decision to close the park Mr.McWherter contacted us to inquire as to <br /> our interest in purchasing the park under the conditions that the park would be closed and <br /> the tenants were vacated. We entered an agreement with Mr.McWherter to purchase the <br /> vacant park from him and we are currently in the process of permitting a new <br /> development at the site with the City of Everett. <br /> In order to assist the tenants that need to be vacated by April 30,2007,we are willing to <br /> offer voluntary relocation assistance to tenants in the mobile home park. <br /> We originally discussed with your association our voluntary offer of up to$7,500 per unit <br /> to assist with the demolition or moving cost of the mobile home and any additional <br /> money that was left from the$7,500 allocation would be given to the tenant to assist <br /> them with their moving expenses. We have determined that there may be some cases <br /> where the demolition of the mobile home could exceed our voluntary amount of$7,500 <br /> due to additional environmental issues related to asbestos in the units so we are prepared <br /> to offer the following. We will provide each unit with$2,000 to assist them with their <br /> initial moving expenses and we will also demolish the mobile home even if the cost <br /> exceeds the$7,500 that we originally planned to allocate for each unit <br /> In order to qualify for the voluntary assistance of$2,000 and the$7,500 for the <br /> demo/moving cost the recipient would need to qualify under the following conditions: <br /> 1. The tenant must currently be living in the mobile home park,adhering to the <br /> park rules and they must be current on their rent. <br /> 2.
