The Uniform Building Code provides that all permits <br /> expire by limitation if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at any <br /> time after work is commenced for a period of 180 days. If you wish to prevent the permit <br /> from expiring without documencation of completion, you may: <br /> 1) Request an inspection of work that has occurred, to documenc concinuing progress, <br /> or 2) Reques�final inspection if the work is completed, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records <br /> Department for microfilming without final approval.
