What they propose is that an <br />engineered smoke control system be used in lieu of installing smoke and fire <br />control dampers in floor shaft penetrations. <br />Attached is a copy of their request. So far what was done in the field is install <br />fire dampers in floor duct penetrations. What code requires is combination fire <br />and smoke control dampers. Please review the request.
