rr RESOLUTION No. 6465 Resolution for Expenditure of 2012 Human Needs Funding WHEREAS, the City allocates funding each year to be used for human needs programs; and WHEREAS, $309,300 is included in the 2012 budget for this purpose; and WHEREAS, there exists in the community a call for monies to supplement human needs programs; and WHEREAS, the City Council adopted priorities for Human Needs funding on November 9, 2011; and WHEREAS, the Human Needs Advisory Committee, formed to make annual recommendations to the City Council for allocation of these funds, has voted to recommend funding as listed below; 1. American Red Cross Snohomish County Chapter: Disaster Reflieffor $3,500 Everett 2. Arc of Snohomish County: Counseling and Guidance, Shelter /Food, and $22,000 Health Services 3. Arts Council of Snohomish County: Art Alternatives $2,000 4. Boys & Girls Clubs: Kids' Cafe $3,500 5. Bridgeways: Supported Employment Program and Transitional $22,000 Housing Program 6. Catholic Community Services: Volunteer Chore Services $8,500 7. Catholic Community Services: Family and Children's Services $5,500 8. Cocoon House: Emergency Shelter for Teens $23,100 9. Cocoon House: Transitional Housing for Teens $6,000 10. Cocoon House: Teen Parent Advocacy $8,000 11. Community Health Center: Health Services for Uninsured, Low Income $6,000 & Homeless Youth 12. Compass Health: Cocoon House Youth Counseling $20,000 13. Compass Health: Bailey Peer Center $7,000 14. Dawson Place Child Advocacy: Center Coordinator $17,000 15. Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County: Children's Program $18,000 16. Everett Gospel Mission: Mobile Dental Van $6,000 17. Everett Gospel Mission: Project Homeless Connect $1,000 18. Everett United Church of Christ: Soup Kitchen $1,000 19. Friends of Youth: New Ground Everett Transitional Living $5,000 20. Hand in Hand: Receiving Care Center for Abused Children $5,000
