I explained that even though the previous owner had laid sod over it, now that I know it is covered we need to make thaC shut-off accessible. The fact that you and I know wliere it is doesn't lielp the person who may need to use it at 10:00 at night 5 or even 10 years from now wlien you are on vacation or possibly no longer live there. I've induded a cupy of the City ordinance requiring unobstructed access to our shut- of. At the end of our conversation you said you needed to get in touch with your mason to cut the pavers to fit around our box, if we raised it to grade. As of March 10, 200G I haven't heard from you and the box is still buried. There is an option that we can put our box at proper grade and still maintain the walk as it is. My crew can re-plumb lhe shut-off to the right side far enough to get i[ out of the walkway. You would liave to bear tlie cost of that as it is your work bringing about the change. My eslimate for that is $271.89. That does not include restoring the walk to ics original condition, which my crews can't do. The money would have to be paid before we could do the work.
