Fill
alopta on Divisions III and IV wae conshuctod with structural fill consisting of on-site granular
aoils unda tull-time monitoring of a quslified individual from our firm. 7be structural fill is
keyed into eaisting firm native soils and fill placed to achieve the final slope grades has been
propaly benche into eacisting native materiats and compaMed to 95 percent of MDD(maximum
dry deatity)according W the specifications of the ASTM D-1557 test procedure. In addition,the
lots aze graded to slope away froa the tops of slopes and all slopes have been covered with jute
matting and hydroseeded for erosion protection.
In our opinton, where slopes have been piaced, compacted, graded, and vegetated as
described above,the minimum building setback distance can be roduced to 10 feet. The setback
distance is the 6otizontal distance measured from the front face of the footing to the face of the
slo,.:. It should be understood that if the setback distance is reduced to 10 feet, the risks of
losing access, raducing the design life of the foundations and having siope movement impact the
house foundations are increased.
. .   i
!ci,n,i ,,, .:;
.. ,  _ .,Iinn
f.! :h, , .;.
