'1'his 6ac been discussed with Mr. Randy Clazk of Select Homes, NIr. Pat McCourt
of Universal Brokerage Cocporation, and Mr. Michael Crowson of W&Ii Pacific.
We have obsaved no sigcc of instability on native slopes in Divisioat III and IV. Fill
slopes on Divisions III and N wae consavcted with savctural fiil coasisting of on-site granulaz
soils unda full-time monitoring of a qualified individual from our firm. 'Ibe suuctural fill is
keyed into existing ficm native soils and fill placed to achieve the final siope grades hac been
properly benched into existing native materials and compacted tu 95 percent of MDD(maximum
dry density)according to the speci6cations of the ASTM D-1557 test procedure. In addition, the
lou are graded to slope away from the tops of slopes and all slopes have been covered with jute
ms.tiog and hydroseeded for erosion protection.
In ou: opinion, where slopes Lava been placed, compaaed, graded, and vegetated as
described above, the minimum building setback distance can be reduced to 10 feet. The setback
distance is the horizontal distance meacured from the front face of the footing to the face of the
slope. It should be understood that if the setback distance is reduced to 10 feet, the risks of
losin access, reducing the design life of the foundations and having slope movement impact the
house foundations aze increaced.
.. . . .. ,
_..... .,..
