Fill
• alopea on Divisions II!and N wae coacttuctod with atiuctural fill consisting of on-site granular
soils unda full-time monitaring of a qualifiod individual from our firm. 'lbe structural fill is
keyed into existing firm native soils and fill placed to achieve the finl slope grades hu baen
properly benched into eacisting native materials and compaMed to 95 percent of MDD (maximum
dry density)according to the specifications of the ASTM D-1557 test procedure. In addition, the
lots are graded to slope sway from the tops of slopes and all slopes have been covered with jute
maaiag and hydroseedod for erosion protection.
In our opinion, where siopes have been piaced, compacted, graded, and vegetated as
described above, the minimum building setback distance can be reduced to 10 feet. Thc setback
distance is the horizontal distance measured from the front face of the footing to the face of the
slope. It should be understood that if the setback distance is reduced to 10 feet, the risks of
losing access, reducing the design life of the foundations and having slope movement impact the
house foundation are increazed.
, . „r> ,.,
_ , .  a,,,, , ,
,;:»,,, . i.,;_
i: :,.,,i,
F.n i,n;
p,•.v:o..e:sf woe
