11/17/93 FILE: C:\WATTSUNS\CBDAR.WS
ENERGY ADDfiNDUM - RESIDENTIAL APPRAISAL REPORT
Thie Enerqy Addendum ie a two-part optional report designed to assist lenders
in underwriting energy-efficient properties. Each part has a particular use,
and the parts are to be treated as separate reports.
Part 1 of this addendum is for rating the enerqy efficiency of th subject
property. It must be completed by an energy consultant or an appraieer.
An energy-efficient rating of "hiqh" is required to justify addi:ional
consideration in the credit underwriting procese.
Part 2 of thie addendum is for estimating the value of energy-efficient items
ONLY when adequate comparable market data are not available. it must be
completed by an appraiser.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Borrower: "Soeculation House"
Property addrees: 5431 let Drive West (lot 26)
-----------------------------------------------------
PART I - Energy Checklist
In this eectica, the energy consultant or appraiser ehould note the enerqy-
efficient characterietice of the subject property and use these charac-
teristice as a baeis for rating the property's overall energy efficiency
(high, adequate, or low) . Generally, a dwelling should contain enerqy-
efficient features for insulation, windows and doors, and heatinq and cooling
to receive a "hiqh" ratinq.
The commente eections a;ould be used to describe the epecific features and the
quality and adequacy ot the inetallation of the erergy-efficient item(s) or
technique(s) . For exr.mple, if the enerqy-efficient furnace box is checked
in the heatinq and coolinq aection below, those features that make the furnace
"energy efficient" ahuld be explained. In addition, the estimated monthly
eavinqe* from the energy-efficient iteme should be noted (*not required by
Fannie Mae)
- For new homea: the actual dollar difference between the energy costs
of the builder's base item and the estimated energy costs of the proposed
enerqy-efficient item (if no base exiets with which to compare, the base
would be the neighborhood norm) .
----------------------------------------------------------
INSULATION (check if present, atate "R" value)
[ ] Attic/roof: [X] Slab/perimeter: R-10
[X] Ceiling: R-30 [ ] Foundation walls:
[X] Ext. walls: R-13 [ j Iraulated water heater:
[X] Floors: R-19 [ ] Insulation wrap: es: R-11
[X] Insul. heat/cool ducts/pip
Comments (Describa quality and adequacy) :
