Fill
slopes on Divisions III aod IV wae consavcted with stNaucal fi1°°h°g of on-site granular
soils uoder fnll-time monitnring of a qualified individual from our firm. 'Ibe suucwral fill is
keyod inW existin8 firm neUve soils and fill placed to achieve the final slope grades has been
properly benched into existing native matecials and compacted W 95 percent of MDD (maximum
dry density)according to 11ie spocifications of the ASTM D-1557 test procedure. In addition, the
lots are graded to slope away from the tops of slopes and all slopes have been covered with ice
matting and hydroseeded for erosion protection.
In our opinion, whue slopes have been placed, compacted, graded, and vegecated as
described above, the minimum building setback discance can be reduced to 10 feet. T'he suback
distance is the horizontal distmce measured from the front face of the footing co the face of the
slope. It should be understood that if the setback distance is reduced to 10 feet, the risks of
losing access, reducing the desim life of the foundationc and having slope movement impact the
house foundations are increased.
 , n;m,n.R„
'.yii Aci.'. ,.
iond.R:;y=:
:':o mc I'i H,i:,,;.,„
r.c,i.l4l Nb6u:n
P•'!'J'.'K[e:P`T' •
