Mechanical spot exhaust venttlation, ducted to the exterlar, is <br /> required tn all bathrooms (50 cfm) and kitchens (100 cfm). Backdraft <br /> dampers are redutred. <br /> 2 Outstde air is required to be supplied into the conditioned space. <br /> See ventilation requfrements. <br /> 3. All structural softwood plywood, particle-6oard, wafer board, and <br /> oriented strand boards are stamped "Ezposure I" or "Exterfor". <br /> 4. Hater heater storage tank labeled as meeting ASHRAE standard 90A - <br /> 1980 or fnsulated to R-76. <br /> 5. Hater heater starage tank must be placed on an R-10 pad 1f located <br /> over untnsulated or cancrete floors. <br /> 6. Insulate hot and cold waterpipes to R-3 in unheated areas. <br /> 7. Shower regulattons to timit hot water discharge to 2.75 GPN. <br /> 8. Heating ducts must be insulated to R-11. <br /> 9. Woodstoves and fireplaces have tight-fitting doors. <br /> 10. Noodstoves and firepla[es have outside combustton air ducted to <br /> flrebox, with accessiblc damper. (Min. - 6 sq. in. net free vent area) <br /> 1!. Firaplaces have tight-fitting flue dampers. <br /> 12. A11 gas or oil cambustton appltances have direct vent or forced draft <br /> venttng. <br /> 13. Recessed lights are I.C. rated, double wall can lights. <br /> 14. 6 mfl black visqueen ground cover in crawl space. <br /> Atr Sealing: <br /> 1. All plumbing, electrtcal and HVAL penetrattons in floors, wall and <br /> cetlings are caulked and sealed. <br /> 2. Nnere penetrettons need a ftrestop, dtscuss with your bullding <br /> department. <br /> 3. Electrical outlet and 11ght switch bozes on extertar walls must be <br /> sealed at the back of the receptical or sealed with face plate gaskets. <br /> 4.
