T'he south wall of the lower level is comprised of 14 feet of concrete <br />wall and 5 feet of solid wood wall. The remainder of the wall is made up of windows. If the proper <br />construction techniques were used to attach the floor framing to the concrete and wood walLs, <br />sufficieut lateral stiffness is provided such tLat a thrce-foot wide opening would not significantly <br />aher the lateral stability.
