35. Fire Safetv - Fire safery practices during construction shall be in compliancc with Article 87 of the <br />Uniform Fire Code. <br />36. For fire safety in multi-Camily projects with community laundry facilities, the following is required: <br />a. A self-closing, solid cure door shall be installed for the laundry room. Any restraining device <br />shall Ue activated by an approved smoke detector. <br />b. A covered metal container shall be provided for the disposal of combustible waste in the <br />laundry room. <br />37. Demolition of buildings shall be in compliance with the provisions of Uniform Fire Code, Section <br />870G'Firesafety during Demolition.' <br />38. The Ciry of Everett prohibils outdoor buming. Therefore, outdoor burning for the,purpose of <br />disposing of construction debris or rubbish will not be permitted. <br />39. The Washington Siate Clean Air Act requires the use of all known, available, and reasonable means <br />ofcontrolling air pollution, including dust. Dust generated during conslruction activities can be <br />controlled by wetting those dust sources such as areas of exposed soils, washing truck wh:els before <br />they leave the site, and installing and maintaining gravel construction entrances. Construction vchicle <br />track-out is also a major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can irigger violations and fines from <br />the Department of Ecology or the Pugct Sound Air nollution Control Agency. <br />GENERAL INFORMATION <br />Puget Sound Energy i� the natural gas provider in thi� area.
