Also enclosed
are copies of the building floor plan, elevations, and typical
sections. Please submit these documents to your Building and Fire
Departments for their initial assessment. Our architect, Keith
Melville, has previously spoken to Ben Edwards of the Building
Department to determine the level of detail required in this code
review. At this time, the only architectural issue that remains
unresolved is the desination and resultant Eire rating_o.f the
building__corridors_ vomally a bu33ng o-f—E-Fi"is size subject to
p`u-6lic access (more than one tenant) must have fire rated corridors.
This rating requires automatic door closers on all corridor doors,
fire dampers in the HVAC ducts, fire rated doors, etc. However,
=ince the building is to be occupied by a single tenant (the City),
the code allows an exception to thia fire rating rule. Please have
your Building Department issue a ruling as soon as possible on the
corridor fire rating requirements. This issue is quite inportant
to the interior design of the building.
Vry truly yours,
6P.C;9N AND CALDWELL
n
, ' :
``✓ .«
  %
3i11 Persich —G/IZ -e(/'
Pcject t4anager
: P:sjw // /
Enclosur., , _4...! ' :".-', '. . .
I'
