Up�n roll <br />call it was found that all Councilmen were present. <br />Dlinutes of the meeting held June 20, 1973 were approved as <br />printed. <br />FROJECT Mayor Anderson said he wanted to publicly thank Senators Jackson <br />and Magnuson for their efforts in obtaining the grant for the <br />project on Norton �venue. <br />[FICATE T�yor Anderson presented a Certificate of Competency to Richard <br />� B. Ronnback as a Water Works Specialist - Cross Connection <br />Division as presented by the American Water Works Association, <br />- Pacific Northwest Section. _�__,._,.__...._.__� � <br />Bob Royce of the Housing Inspection Division sai� '''L. Phelos, <br />owner of the houses at 5008-10 2nd �treet had been in and met <br />� with Mr. Farens and they had reached a solution to their problems. <br />Ae had taken out a building permit previously subject to approval <br />by the Council. <br />Ae said Mr. Phelps was fully aware that he had to have Council <br />approval bafore he could continue the repairs of these two <br />houses. • <br />Moved by Councilman Langus, seconded by Councilman Aldcroft to <br />rescin3 Resolution 708 adopted April 18th which authorized the <br />demoliahing of structurea at 5008 and 5010 2nd Street. <br />Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />N,oved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Rinch to adopt <br />Resolution �751 changing the termination date to November 1, 1973 <br />as follows: <br />S�THEREAS, Section 89-A (b), Chapter 46.19.305, Ordinance No. 123-71. <br />provides that the City Council may, by resolutions, prohibit at <br />certain times or entirely, the time during which vehicles may be <br />parked in locations where traffic tends to congest, and, <br />WHEfi;:AS, the City Council, in compliance �vith said ordinance, does <br />desire to prohibit entirely the parking of vehicles on certain <br />streets or portions thereof in the City of Everett, � <br />NOSQ� THEREFORE� BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />EVERETT: That vehicles be prohibited from parking in the following <br />location: <br />Both sides of Wetmore in the 700 and 800 blocks from <br />8:00 a.m, to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday effective <br />July 1, 1973 and until November 1, .L973. _ <br />Itoll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />A Resolution was presented which would prohibit parking at any time <br />on East side of Friday Avenue £rom 41st Street to 36th Street. <br />Michael Sheridan, Lori Holton and Ed Seier, Yesidents on this street <br />appearedin favor of this proposed resolution. However, they felt it <br />should extend to 35th Street. <br />Moved by Councilman Alderoft, ceconded by Councilman Dobler that the <br />Resolution be amended to extend the no parking to 35th Street. <br />Roll was called on the amendment with all Councilmen voting yes. <br />Amendment carried. <br />
