All doors opening into this enclosure shall be smoke- and draft-stop <br />assemblies with at least a'� hour fire otection rating. This requirement is also <br />applicable to the living room. Plans and specifications shall include, but not be limited to, a floor plan, <br />location of all alarm-initiating and alarm-s'i�g�er�connect'on, batt ry calculations <br />trouble-signaling equipment, acmunciation, p <br />catalog cuu for each device, and wiring type and sizes. Sec. 14.103.(a), Uniform Fire <br />Code-1991. <br />•The new State Building Code, which will become effective July 1, 1995, contains proposed <br />revisions that deletes these requirements. It is suggested that you write to Mr. Michael L. <br />Sturgeon, Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal, Fire Protection Services, Post Office Box 48350, <br />Olympia, Washington, 98504-8350, and appeal these requirements based on proposed new <br />code language. <br />
