These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br />may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references <br />refer to the 1997 Uniform Building code, as amended by the State of Washington anci/or <br />the Washington State Energy Code, 1997 edition, unless noted otherwise. <br />This review does not cover submitted mechanical, sprinkler, electrical or plumbing <br />documents — these permits must be obtained separately and may require further review <br />and submission of plans. <br />In ordcr for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide thc Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />l) Based on the site plan, the northem and southem exterior walls are less than 20 feet <br />from the property fines. lnose walls should be shown as listed, one-hour fire- <br />resistive assemblies. The listings should be shown on the plans. <br />�) The roof/ceiling should be a listed one-hour fire-resistive assembly. Sectien 709.4.1 <br />3) The analysis of the roof by the eneineer of record states that the existing roof does not <br />meet the structural requirements of the 1997 UBC. If the stresses in the roof <br />members exceed one and one half times the working stress or stresses allowed in the <br />UBC. the building will be classified as `dangerous' per the deftnition in Section 302 <br />of the 1997 Abatement of Dangerous Buildings code. All buildings or portions <br />thereof which are determined to be dangerous shall be abated by repair, rehabilitation. <br />demolition or removal.
