You have tenants occupying a multi-family <br />residence located on your property. On June 15, 1999 one of your tenants notified me <br />that electricity has been tumed off to one of the units in the building for non-payment of <br />the bill, resulting in lack of running hot water in all of the units. <br />I. Descriotion of Violntion <br />Lack of hot running water to plumbing fixhires in a dwelling unit renders your building <br />subslandard and a public nuisauce under Section ] 6.08.190.B.4 of the Everett Municipal <br />Code. As the ow��er of this building, you reroain liable for violations of the code even if <br />an obligation is imposcd on the occupants and even if you have, by agreentent, imposcd <br />nn the occupants the duty of paying the electricity bill to prevent shut-off. <br />li. Corrective Action Required <br />To climinate this violation, you must sec to it that the power is restored to the non- <br />paying unit, or that the tenants of your building arc in some other w�ay provided <br />with hot watcr as required by code. Corrcctive Action must be fully completed on <br />or before Junc 21, 199Q. You may avoid the hearing described in Section III if you fully <br />complete the corrective action hy the above date. <br />III.
