You have tenants occupying a multi-family residence located on your property. On June 15, 1999 one of your tenants notified me that electricity has been tumed off to one of the units in the building for non-payment of the bill, resulting in lack of running hot water in all of the units. I. Descriotion of Violntion Lack of hot running water to plumbing fixhires in a dwelling unit renders your building subslandard and a public nuisauce under Section ] 6.08.190.B.4 of the Everett Municipal Code. As the ow��er of this building, you reroain liable for violations of the code even if an obligation is imposcd on the occupants and even if you have, by agreentent, imposcd nn the occupants the duty of paying the electricity bill to prevent shut-off. li. Corrective Action Required To climinate this violation, you must sec to it that the power is restored to the non- paying unit, or that the tenants of your building arc in some other w�ay provided with hot watcr as required by code.
