When I realized that Cemolition had stopped, I made an <br />attempt to contact the owner by correspondence advising him that his <br />demolition permit would become void if he did'not praceed with demolition. <br />The owner failed to contact the'9uilding Inspection Division so I proceeded to <br />send another lettar informing the owner of our intention to proc�ed with <br />abatement should he fail to proceed with demolition. Tie owner was given ten <br />(10) days to respond to'that letter. The letter is a preLiminary to abatement <br />proceedings and was sent certified mail, return receipt requested. <br />The owner of the property has until July 20th to respond to that letter. IP I <br />do not get a response by that Gate,�I shall proc=ed with abatement of the <br />structure. • <br />All or these prcceCures are 'a legal orocess which must be followed. Secause <br />of these carefully follewed procedures, it appears to the unknowing public <br />that the City may not be taking action on a given situation.
