The connection of the columns and shear transfer to the
slab meets UBC Code. The South wall columns which are offset from the
slab 1-1/2 inches are found to be adequate for bearing and with the 48
inch hairpin will provide adequate lateral resistance to the shear.
Attached is a sketch showing South wall shear connection to the slab.
Bob Garner has checked with the Cascade regarding compaction of the
site and they staled that it exceeded 95% and they would forward their
report immediately.
Based on our review, the structure is in conformance with UBC Code.
Sincerely,
LEE 100HHNN1 Z0111TANTS, INC.
Levon P.
